Ball Valve flanged ends - 2 pcs full bore ball valve flanges DIN FIRE-SAFE Certification - 2528 | Genebre
Genebre 2528 DIN fire-safe ball valve
The Genebre 2528 is a two-piece flanged ball valve, full bore, with DIN flanges and fire-safe construction. The body material is stainless steel CF8M / 316. Standard sealing materials are PTFE + 15% glass fibre seats and Viton stem O-ring. The valve includes an antistatic device and is intended for on/off isolation service.
Pressure class and face-to-face dimensions
- DN15 to DN50: DIN flange connection, PN40.
- Above DN50: DIN flange connection, PN16.
- DN15 to DN100: face-to-face length according to DIN 3202 F-4.
- DN125 to DN200: face-to-face length according to DIN 3202 F-5.
- Temperature range: -30°C to +180°C, subject to pressure-temperature rating and media compatibility.
Construction and sealing arrangement
The full-bore design reduces pressure drop compared with reduced-bore valves and is suitable where line capacity, flushing, or low differential pressure losses are relevant. PTFE with glass fibre reinforcement improves seat dimensional stability compared with virgin PTFE. Viton on the stem provides chemical and temperature resistance within its compatibility range.
Actuation and control interface
The valve has an ISO 5211 mounting pad for direct installation of pneumatic or electric actuators. Manual operation is by lever. For actuated service, actuator sizing should consider valve torque, differential pressure, cycling frequency, fail-safe position, available air pressure or electrical supply, and any required limit switches or position feedback.
Typical applications
- DIN PN16 and PN40 process pipework.
- Industrial water, cooling water, and utility lines.
- Compressed air distribution and isolation.
- Compatible chemical liquids after material verification.
- Installations requiring a fire-safe valve construction.
- Clean condensate or steam-related service only where the pressure-temperature rating and seat compatibility are confirmed.
Standards and project verification
Selection should verify CF8M, PTFE/GF, Viton, DIN flange compatibility, DIN 3202 face-to-face length, ISO 5211 actuator interface, and the applicable fire-safe test documentation required by the project specification, such as EN ISO 10497 or API 607 when specified.
Variant differences
- Small sizes: DN15-DN50 with PN40 flanges.
- Larger sizes: above DN50 with PN16 flanges.
- Manual version: lever-operated isolation valve.
- Automated version: ISO 5211 mounting for pneumatic or electric actuator installation.
FAQ
Is it suitable for throttling?
It is primarily an isolation valve. Continuous throttling can increase seat wear and leakage risk.
What must be checked before ordering?
Nominal size, PN class, flange standard, face-to-face length, media compatibility, operating temperature, pressure rating, fire-safe documentation, and actuator requirements.
Can it be used on chemical service?
Yes, only where CF8M, PTFE/GF, and Viton are compatible with the fluid, concentration, temperature, and cleaning procedure.

Certificates
GENEBRE, S.A. has implemented a quality management system to control the designing and manufacturing of fluid control valves, as well as the distribution of home and public taps.
This system complies with the requirements of the current international UNE-EN-ISO 9001:2015, certified by the prestigious German certification organization TÜV Rheinland.
In 2000, GENEBRE began to comply with the European Business Excellence Model, more commonly known as the EFQM. As a result, in 2003, the Catalan Regional Government awarded us with the Quality Award. This new system enables us to ensure the quality of GENEBRE's products and also to offer added value to our clients.
In 2012, we obtained the certification for the Environmental Management System. This system is certified according to the UNE-EN-ISO 14001:2015, also by TÜV Rheinland. GENEBRE QUALITY AND ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
