Ball Valve flanged ends - 2 pcs. Full bore ball valve flanges ANSI B 16.5 S-150. FIRE SAFE Certification - 2526A | Genebre
Genebre 2526A ANSI 150 Fire-Safe Ball Valve
The Genebre 2526A is a two-piece flanged ball valve for ANSI B16.5 Class 150 piping. It uses a carbon steel WCB body with AISI 316 ball and stem. The seat arrangement is PTFE with 25% graphite, and the stem O-ring is Viton. Rated pressure is 19 kg/cm² / 275 psi. Operating temperature range: -30°C to +220°C, subject to pressure-temperature derating and media compatibility.
Construction and Standards
- End connection: flanged, ANSI B16.5 Class 150
- Body material: carbon steel WCB
- Ball and stem: AISI 316 stainless steel
- Seats: PTFE + 25% graphite
- Stem sealing: Viton O-ring
- Fire-safe configuration for services requiring valve integrity under fire exposure; verify project certificate requirements before procurement
- Anti-static device and lockable lever supplied
- ISO 5211 mounting pad for actuator installation
Sizes and Actuation
The valve is available from 1/2" to 6". The ISO 5211 top mounting allows direct installation of pneumatic or electric actuators without separate machining. Actuator sizing should consider differential pressure, cycling frequency, fail position, air supply pressure, and required opening/closing time.
Suitable Media and Operating Conditions
- Fuel lines, lubricating oils, and compatible hydrocarbons
- Compressed air and inert gas systems
- Utility and auxiliary process lines
- Carbon steel process piping designed to ANSI Class 150
- Installations where fire-safe valve construction is specified
Selection Notes
Selection should confirm compatibility of WCB, AISI 316, PTFE/graphite, and Viton with the process fluid, operating temperature, cleaning procedure, and any trace components. The valve pressure rating must be checked against the actual operating temperature, not only against ambient-pressure data.
Variant Comparison
- Compared with standard soft-seat ball valves, the graphite-filled PTFE seat arrangement is more suitable where fire-safe behavior and higher temperature capability are required.
- Compared with stainless steel body variants, the WCB body is normally selected for carbon steel piping systems where external corrosion and fluid compatibility allow it.
- For modulating service, confirm actuator control method and expected seat wear; this valve type is primarily used for isolation duty.
Maintenance and Leakage Considerations
Routine inspection should include stem leakage, flange gasket condition, handle locking status, and actuator mounting integrity. Seat leakage assessment should follow the project acceptance standard and the service criticality.
FAQ
Can it be automated? Yes. The ISO 5211 pad supports direct mounting of pneumatic or electric actuators.
Is it suitable for steam? Use on steam must be checked against the seat, O-ring, temperature rating, and pressure-temperature curve.
What should be verified before ordering? Size, ANSI 150 flange drilling, material compatibility, fire-safe certificate requirement, actuator interface, and required fail position.
Description
Certificates
GENEBRE, S.A. has implemented a quality management system to control the designing and manufacturing of fluid control valves, as well as the distribution of home and public taps.
This system complies with the requirements of the current international UNE-EN-ISO 9001:2015, certified by the prestigious German certification organization TÜV Rheinland.
In 2000, GENEBRE began to comply with the European Business Excellence Model, more commonly known as the EFQM. As a result, in 2003, the Catalan Regional Government awarded us with the Quality Award. This new system enables us to ensure the quality of GENEBRE's products and also to offer added value to our clients.
In 2012, we obtained the certification for the Environmental Management System. This system is certified according to the UNE-EN-ISO 14001:2015, also by TÜV Rheinland. GENEBRE QUALITY AND ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
