ARI CONA SC / SC Plus Float Steam Trap

The ARI CONA SC is a float steam trap equipped with a thermostatic air vent capsule, designed for condensate removal from saturated steam networks, heat exchangers, heating elements, low/medium pressure steam boilers, and distribution lines. Discharge occurs immediately based on condensate level without requiring subcooling.

Technical Specifications

  • Available in PN16, PN25, PN40 versions.
  • CONA SC 634: DN15–DN25.
  • CONA SC Plus 635: DN25.
  • Body materials: EN-JL1040, EN-JS1049, 1.0460, 1.4541.
  • Inlet temperatures up to 400 °C depending on material and pressure class.
  • Permissible differential pressure controller: R4, R5, R10, R14, R21, R32 per version.

Connections and Standards

Available with flanges according to DIN EN 1092-1/-2, Rp thread according to DIN EN 10226-1, NPT according to ANSI B1.20.1, socket weld according to DIN EN 12760, and butt weld preparation according to EN ISO 9692.

Operational Selection

The CONA SC 634 is used in typical steam drainage points requiring consistent hot condensate discharge and reversible installation position. The SC Plus 635 is intended for larger DN25 flows, particularly in applications with low differential pressure during startup.

Maintenance and Inspection

The controller can be replaced without disassembling the piping in main versions. Optional manual venting, vent plug, and drain valve are available. In PN40, an external filter is provided for protection against solid particles.
