A simple construction of double sensors and pucks in a uniform size is now possible. With our new WDF, you can easily equip the drives and fittings of different sizes with one and the same double sensor or puck. This saves time during assembly and also brings a price advantage, as different components are no longer required from the sensor manufacturers.

Eurotec VDI/VDE – WDF Adaptors
Eurotec WDF adaptors are mechanical interfaces designed for mounting double sensors or pucks on pneumatic quarter-turn valve actuators. Their primary function is to standardize the mechanical interface, enabling the same position sensor or puck to be used across actuators of different sizes without requiring sensor type changes.
Functional Role
The WDF adaptor does not contact process media. It is installed on the actuator’s upper section or combined with suitable brackets to achieve correct geometry for open/close position sensing. Typical use cases include:
- valve end position indication,
- double sensor integration,
- mounting pucks for inductive sensors,
- retrofit on existing valve-actuator assemblies,
- spare part standardization in plants with multiple actuator types.
Mechanical Interface
When combined with the MB-WDF series, the upper interface complies with VDI/VDE 3845, featuring an 80 x 30 mm drilling pattern and 20 mm shaft height. This allows the use of common double sensors or pucks across different actuator sizes, minimizing the need for sensor re-selection per actuator dimension.

- double sensor or puck type,
- actuator drilling pattern,
- shaft height,
- required VDI/VDE 3845 compatibility,
- available space above actuator,
- installation environment and Ex switch box requirements.
Standards and Certifications
Eurotec states compliance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 for development, production, and distribution of industrial valve automation components. ISO/IEC 80079-34 is referenced for manufacturing equipment intended for explosive atmospheres. Ex suitability of the final assembly depends on the sensor, switch box, actuator, and installation.
