Ball Valve Trunnion Mounted - UNIFLOW Fig. BT | Comeval

Comeval UNIFLOW Fig. BT Trunnion Ball Valve

The UNIFLOW Fig. BT series is a trunnion-mounted ball valve designed for flow isolation in industrial process systems. Available in sizes DN50–DN900 / 2"–36" and pressure ratings PN16–PN420 / ANSI Class 150–2500, with two- or three-piece body construction and flanged or butt-welded (BW) ends.

Technical Configuration

  • Design: API 6D
  • Face-to-face: API 6D
  • Flanges: ASME B16.5 up to 24", ASME B16.47 above 24"
  • BW ends: ASME B16.25
  • Testing: API 598
  • Fire-safe: API 6FA
  • Marking: MSS SP-25
  • Top flange: ISO 5211
  • Actuation: gear, pneumatic, electric, or hydraulic actuator.

Materials and Pressure Classes

Body materials include ASTM A216 WCB, ASTM A352 LCB, ASTM A351 CF8, CF8M, CF3, and CF3M. Pressure classes: Class 150, 300, 600, 900, 1500, 2500.

Seat Design and Operation

Trunnion ball supported top and bottom reduces seat loading at large diameters or high differential pressures. The valve is bidirectional, with DBB, self-relieving seat, antistatic device, blow-out proof stem, and emergency sealant injection capability.

Intended for on/off isolation, not for throttling. Selection should consider process media, pressure/temperature per ASME B16.34, piping class, and material compatibility.

Applications

Suitable for natural gas, petrochemicals, chemical processing, compressed air, industrial gases, lubrication circuits, process networks, and isolation lines requiring high pressure class and automation capability. Typical uses: HVAC, lubrication, gases, compressed air, process isolation.

FAQ

When is DPE required?
DPE (Double Piston Effect) seats are specified when bidirectional sealing is required. Refer to technical documentation for cavity pressure relief requirements.

Specification checklist:
DN/NPS, Class or PN, body material, end type RF/RTJ/BW, seat type, NACE requirement, fire-safe, ATEX/PED, DBB/DPE, actuator type.

Description
