Neway Trunnion Mounted Top Entry Soft-Seated Ball Valve

Trunnion-mounted, top-entry ball valve with soft seats, designed for on/off isolation in large-diameter or high-pressure liquid and gas pipelines. API 6D construction allows internal access from the top, enabling maintenance without removing the valve from the line.

Top-Entry Design and Maintenance Logic

Top-entry valves are selected where line disassembly is impractical, such as buried pipelines, insulated lines, large DN, or restricted access locations. Seat, ball, and stem maintenance is performed via the top cover, following depressurization, drainage, and lock-out procedures.

Soft-Seated Applications

Soft seats are used for clean liquids or gases where low seat leakage is required and temperature remains within seat material limits. For slurry, solids, high abrasion, or temperatures above soft-seat limits, metal-seated valves should be considered.

Comparison with Side-Entry

Side-entry valves are suitable when the valve can be removed or serviced laterally. Top-entry is preferred where the cost of disconnecting, realigning, or reinsulating the pipeline is significant.
