Trunnion-mounted, side-entry ball valve with soft seats, designed for on/off isolation in liquid or gas pipelines. Manufactured in accordance with API 6D, available in two-piece or three-piece split body construction. Size range: 2"–60" / DN50–DN1500, ASME Class 150–2500 / PN16–PN420. Temperature range: -46°C to +200°C.
Trunnion support is selected for larger DN or high differential pressures, where floating ball designs would result in increased seat loading and higher operating torque. Soft seats are specified for tight shut-off in clean liquids or gases, with compatibility checks for temperature, pressure, and chemical composition of the process media.
Suitable for natural gas, petroleum products, chemical and petrochemical pipelines, terminals, high-pressure utility networks, and main isolation lines. For services with solids, slurry, high abrasion, or temperatures outside the soft seat range, consider metal-seated or special construction variants.
When is side-entry selected?
When split body construction and conventional flanged or welded installation are required.
