Swing check valve Bronze 5K - F7356
Bronze Lift Check Valve JIS 5K F7356
Flanged lift check valve designed for auxiliary marine piping systems with small nominal diameters. The valve operates via line differential pressure: the disc lifts under normal flow and reseats when flow decreases or reverse pressure occurs.
Standards and Testing
Manufactured in accordance with JIS F7356-1996. Testing per JIS F7400-1996. For JIS 5K class, hydrostatic shell test pressure is 1.05 MPa; seat leakage test at 0.77–0.4 MPa.
Construction Materials
- Body: BC6 bronze
- Bonnet: BC6 bronze
- Disc: BC6 bronze
- Bonnet gasket: non-asbestos
- Connection: JIS 5K flanges
- Available sizes: DN25, DN32, DN40
Dimensional Data
Face-to-face dimensions: 120 mm (DN25), 140 mm (DN32), 160 mm (DN40). Body height ranges from 77 to 91 mm depending on DN.
Operational Characteristics
Unlike swing check valves, the lift check design uses a disc moving vertically to the seat. Sufficient differential pressure and clean media are required to ensure reliable disc movement and sealing.
Typical Applications
- Shipboard fresh water lines
- Auxiliary cooling circuits
- Small pump discharge lines
- Service water networks
- Installations with JIS 5K flanges
Selection and Maintenance Considerations
Selection should be based on operating pressure, flow rate, installation orientation, BC6 bronze compatibility with process media, and acceptable seat leakage. Maintenance includes inspection of seat cleanliness, free disc movement, and bonnet gasket condition.
