Neway Forged Steel – Forged Check Valve (Piston & Swing Type)

The Neway Forged Steel check valve is designed for small-bore, high-pressure lines in industrial process systems. Product range covers NPS 1/2"–2" / DN15–DN50, pressure ratings ASME Class 150–4500 / PN16–PN760, and end connections RF, BW, RTJ, SW, NPT.

Construction & Variants

According to the technical datasheet, this series is classified as Forged Steel Check Valves. The piston type is standard; swing disc is available on request. Specify piston or swing disc type explicitly when ordering, as internal design impacts suitability for process conditions and maintenance.

Materials

Available body materials include:

  • A105N for carbon steel service
  • A350 LF2 for low temperature applications
  • A182 F11 / F22 / F5 for alloy steel requirements
  • A182 F304 / F316 / F304L / F316L for stainless steel
  • Duplex, nickel-base, and titanium alloys available per specification

Connections & Pressure Classes

Forged versions are supplied with threaded, socket weld, butt weld, or flanged ends. Datasheet lists Class 800 with bolted or welded cover per API 602, Class 900/1500, and Class 150/300/600 flanged per ASME B16.10 / ASME B16.5. Pressure seal bonnet available for higher ratings.

Applications

Suitable for steam, condensate, water, oils, hydrocarbons, process gases, and compatible chemicals. Selection is based on pressure-temperature rating, body material, trim, end connection, temperature, corrosion, and available differential closing pressure.

FAQ

When is SW preferred over NPT?
For small-bore, higher-pressure lines where welded joints are preferred over threaded connections for integrity.

What must be specified on order?
NPS, Class, end connection, body material, trim, check type (piston or swing disc), and bonnet type (bolted, welded, or pressure seal).
