Cartridge Filters Blu Zac FCAR

Blu Zac FCAR are permanent cartridge filters designed for inline or angular piping configurations. Typical applications include water, seawater, hydrocarbons, air, gases, and chemical process lines, subject to verification of material and cartridge compatibility with the process fluid.

Construction and Operation

The filter features a cylindrical body with flanges perpendicular to the filtration element. Standard supply includes a coalescing cartridge in steel or fiberglass, with particle retention capability down to 3 micron / 0.003 mm. The open filtration area is specified at over 300% of the inlet cross-section to minimize pressure drop.

Materials and Sealing

Standard body materials: ASTM A106 Gr.B, ASTM A333 Gr.6, ASTM A312 TP304, ASTM A312 TP316. Flanges: ASTM A105, A350 LF2, A182 F304, or A182 F316. Cartridge: AISI 316 and fiberglass. Gasket: spiral wound with graphite, W-316, IR-316, or OR-CS.

Selection and Maintenance

Selection is based on flow rate, allowable Δp, particle size, body material, connection class, and cover accessibility. Maintenance is annual or when pressure drop exceeds specified limits. Monthly inspection is recommended: isolate line, remove cartridge, clean body, replace gasket, and check for leakage on restart.

Is actuator installation possible?
No. This is a passive inline filter.

When is cartridge selected over basket?
When finer particle retention or coalescing function is required.

Can it be used as a drying filter?
Technical documentation allows use as a drying filter with appropriate cartridge selection.

Description

Permanent filter, straight line or right angle, suitable for filtering fluids in either the liquid state (water, seawater, petroleum and its derivatives) or the gaseous state (gas, air, chemical products) through a perforated plate filter element placed perpendicular to the direction of flow.

Comprising a cylindrical body with connecting flanges arranged perpendicularly to the filters elements, it ensures a large surface area for flow and thus offers a high filtration capacity with a low loss of capacity even at high speeds.

The standard equipment includes a series of coalescing cartridge filters made of steel or fiberglass, capable of retaining extremely small particles of approximately three microns or 0.003mm.

The standard equipment includes a screen suitable for high pressures, which is easy to maintain and replace and capable of filtration of more than 300% of the inlet area.
