Genebre 2240 – Double Glass Flow Indicator with Thread

The Genebre 2240 is a flow indicator designed for local visual monitoring of liquids or gases in small pipelines. It features two glass observation plates and threaded ends compliant with ISO 7-1 / EN 10226-1. The body is constructed from stainless steel 1.4408 / CF8M.

Pressure and Temperature Selection

The 16 bar rating should not be assumed available across the entire temperature range. The pressure-temperature curve in the technical sheet indicates a reduction in allowable pressure as the temperature of the soda-lime glass increases. For hot fluids, actual line pressure, temperature, and potential thermal variations must be verified.

Fluids and Applications

Suitable for auxiliary water lines, neutral liquids, low to medium pressure gases, and points where confirmation of filling, flow, bubbles, or color change is required. For corrosive fluids, compatibility with 1.4408, PTFE, and glass should be checked. A version with “pyrex” glass, type 2240P, is available upon request.

Difference from Flanged Indicators

The 2240 is selected for small lines with threaded connections where flanged disassembly is not required. For larger DN, higher pressures, or lines with frequent maintenance, a flanged flow indicator is considered.

No. It is a passive visual monitoring component.
