NORIS Bauform 880-V – Flow Indicator with Vacuum Sealing

The NORIS 880-V is a straight-through, dual-sided flow indicator designed for lines where vacuum operation may cause leaks in standard sealing. The V version utilizes PTFE gaskets for medium vacuum or O-rings for higher vacuum levels, as recommended in the technical datasheet.

Sealing Selection

In vacuum applications, sealing is evaluated not only for pressure and temperature but also for air ingress through glass seats. PTFE gaskets are chosen for moderate vacuum. For stricter vacuum requirements, an O-ring, typically Viton, is used when compatible with the fluid and temperature.

Difference from NORIS 880

The standard 880 covers typical pressure operation. The 880-V maintains the dual-sided indicator logic, but the sealing selection is tailored for vacuum operation.

Options

Available with welding ends, observation lighting, heating jacket, spinner, or flapper. Does not accept an actuator; it is a passive visual monitoring component.
