NORIS Model 880-K – DIN Flow Indicator with Flap

The NORIS 880-K is a straight-through, dual-sided flow indicator featuring an internal flap for visual flow verification. It is installed in liquid and gas lines for local visual flow monitoring without flow measurement or electrical signal. The flanged connection complies with DIN standards, available in PN16, PN25, or PN40 pressure classes.

Materials and Sealing

The body is available in GG25 / EN-GJL-250, GS-C25 / 1.0619 / GP240GH, or stainless steel 1.4408. GG25 cast iron is limited to a maximum pressure of 16 bar. Glass options include borosilicate per DIN 7080 or soda-lime per DIN 8902. Standard sealing is graphite, with the flap made from 1.4571.

Applications

The 880-K model is selected when visual flow recognition is required, even in clear liquids or areas with limited contrast. Typical media include process water, condensate, gases, auxiliary circuits, and chemical liquids compatible with body, glass, and gasket materials.

Difference from 880 and 880-RK/RP

The 880-K features an internal flap. The basic 880 does not necessarily include an internal visual indicator, while the 880-RK/RP models use a spinner. The flap is preferred for simple flow presence indication with minimal mechanical complexity.
