ADCA SC32B / SC132B – Sample Cooler with Bolted Cover

The ADCA SC32B and SC132B sample coolers are designed for cooling boiler water or steam samples prior to laboratory or on-site analysis. Cooling minimizes flashing of hot pressurized samples and reduces the risk of measurement errors or operator burns during sampling.

Construction

The B version features a bolted top cover, allowing access for inspection or maintenance. The sample flows through a stainless steel coil, while cooling water circulates in the cooler body.

Performance

With cooling water at 1 m³/h, 15°C, typical cooled sample flow is 30–60 kg/h at approx. 30°C, suitable for boilers up to 20 bar / 220°C. For other pressures, temperatures, or certified performance, technical calculation is required.

Difference from SC32 / SC32F

Cooling function is identical to standard SC versions. The B variant differs by its bolted cover for maintenance access. The F version includes a drain funnel for controlled discharge to drain or collection point.

Installation and Operation

Install vertically. Ensure maximum cooling water flow before opening or closing the sample valve. The coil must remain fully submerged during operation. Optional accessories: sample inlet valve, cooling water valve, thermometer, compression fittings.
