Valfonta ALPER Full-Lift Safety Valves

Valfonta ALPER safety valves are full-lift, instantaneous action devices designed for overpressure protection of vessels, boilers, and piping systems. Discharge occurs automatically without auxiliary energy, and the valve recloses once pressure drops below the setpoint. The design features a 90° directed discharge and a 1/4" drain port for condensate removal.

Available Versions

Variants include models with test-lift lever and hermetic construction. Series 375–388 cover stainless steel and mixed construction with BSP or DIN flange inlet. Types 395–398 are bronze, with PTFE or metal obturator options.

Applicable for liquids, compressed air, inert gases, and steam. Typical installations include boilers, pressure vessels, steam networks, air receivers, auxiliary process lines, and locations requiring rapid discharge. Material selection must consider temperature, corrosion, and sealing compatibility.

Selection Criteria

Sizing requires set pressure, discharge flow, medium, temperature, backpressure, and connection type. For steam, ensure outlet drainage, avoid condensate accumulation, and maintain clean seating surfaces, as particulates or scale may cause leakage post-activation.
