Genebre 2253 Safety Valve with Lever

The Genebre 2253 is an angle-type spring-loaded safety valve constructed from stainless steel, featuring threaded connections and a manual lift lever. Designed for gas or steam service; not intended for continuous bypass regulation. Set pressure is factory-adjusted and sealed.

Standards and Discharge Capacities

Design and calculation per EN 12516 and EN ISO 4126-1/7. Technical datasheet provides discharge capacities for air at 20°C and saturated steam, with 10% overpressure and orifice sizes 13, 14, 16, 20, 28, and 32 mm.

Open vs Closed Cap Versions

Type 2253 features an open cap and test lever. Selected where periodic manual lift testing is required for operational verification. For hazardous, toxic, or non-ventable gases, evaluate if a closed or gastight design is necessary.

Description

BSP threaded ends acc./ ISO 228/1 M-F, available with NPT threaded (2253N). Design, calculations and control according to EN 12516 and EN 4126-1/7. Construction: Stainless steel 1.4408 (CF8M). Seat and disc in stainless steel AISI 316. Set pressure between 0,5 barg and 40 barg. Max. working pressure 40 bar. Working temperature -20ºC +300ºC. Lever for manual opening, open cap.
