KITO E 17.2 N – Pressure/Vacuum Valve DN 25

The KITO VD/o-25 is a terminal breather valve designed for small tanks or auxiliary vessels primarily storing non-flammable liquids. Its function is to limit unacceptable overpressure or vacuum and to control vapor losses or emissions during tank breathing. This model is not explosion-proof and is not suitable for continuous burning applications.

Construction and Materials

Standard body and seat are carbon steel/stainless steel 1.4571, with full stainless steel 1.4571 available. Internal parts, shaft, and weights are stainless steel 1.4571. Standard seal is NBR, with options for Viton, PTFE, or EPDM. Weather hood is stainless steel 1.4301 as standard, optionally 1.4571.

Operation

The vacuum pallet is spring-loaded; the pressure pallet operates with weights. No electrical or pneumatic actuator required. For larger nominal diameters, refer to the E 17 N series.

Flow Calculation

Flow curves are based on air density 1.29 kg/m³ at 273 K and atmospheric pressure. Stated flow rates are achieved with 40% accumulation above setpoint, per DIN 4119.
