KITO DS/o-1 Pressure Relief Valve, Type C 8.3 N

The KITO DS/o-1 C 8.3 N is an overpressure relief valve designed for storage tanks, intended for installation in conjunction with a vacuum relief valve. It is specified where the tank requires venting of gases or vapors at higher set pressures than the C 8.1 N series. This valve is not an explosion protection device and does not provide protection against deflagration or stabilized burning.

Set Pressure Range and Sizes

Available in DN 25 to DN 250. Connections conform to EN 1092-1 type B1, with optional ASME B16.5 Class 150 RF. Flange pressure classes: DN 25 PN 40, DN 50–150 PN 16, DN 200–250 PN 10.

Set pressure ranges:

• DN 25–100: >200 to 350 mbar
• DN 125–150: >150 to 350 mbar
• DN 200–250: >100 to 350 mbar

For lower set pressures, select KITO DS/o, C 8.1 N. Higher set pressures require technical confirmation from the manufacturer.

Construction and Sealing

Standard configuration:

• Body: carbon steel, optional stainless steel 1.4571
• Spring-loaded valve plate
• Seat and spindle: stainless steel 1.4571
• Metallic sealing
• Spring components: stainless steel 1.4571
• Weather cover: stainless steel
• Protective mesh: PA6, from DN 80 stainless steel 1.4301 or optional 1.4571

Selection Criteria

Selection is based on permissible tank overpressure, required venting capacity, set pressure, flange standard, and material compatibility. No external actuator required.

Flow rates are based on air at 1.29 kg/m³ at 273 K, achieved with 40% accumulation above set pressure, per DIN 4119.

Type C 8.3 N is supplied without EC certificate and without CE marking.
