Pressure Reducers Red-Bronze - DRV 6-Series - DRV 602/608 | Berluto

Berluto DRV 602 / 608 Flanged Connection Pressure Reducers

The Berluto DRV 602 and DRV 608 are direct-acting pressure reducers featuring a diaphragm, adjustment spring, single seat, and inlet pressure compensation. Downstream pressure is mechanically adjusted without external energy or impulse line. This series accommodates larger DN compared to smaller flanged DRV series.

Technical Specifications

  • DN65–DN150.
  • Flanges DIN EN 1092 PN25 for DN65–DN80.
  • Flanges DIN EN 1092 PN16 for DN100–DN150.
  • Optional PN25 for DN100–DN150.
  • Optional ANSI B16.5 RF Class 150 or JIS.
  • Max inlet pressure: 25 bar, per DN/PN.
  • DRV 602: outlet pressure 1.5–6 bar.
  • DRV 608: outlet pressure 3–10 bar.
  • Minimum differential pressure p1–p2: 1 bar.
  • Kvs: 48–210 m³/h.
  • Operating temperature: -30 to +130°C, depending on sealing.

Materials and Seals

The body is made of red bronze CC499K and the spring cap of cast iron. Wetted parts are brass and stainless steel V4A. Standard version uses NBR up to 75°C, with EPDM available up to 130°C. A special version for seawater features materials resistant to this medium.

Suitable Media

The series is applicable to water and neutral, non-sticky liquids. It can also be used for air and neutral gases when higher flow rates are required. For potable or seawater, special versions DRV-6 or DRV-SW should be considered. Documentation states these versions are not suitable for steam.

DRV 602 or DRV 608 Selection

DRV 602 is selected for downstream pressure 1.5–6 bar. DRV 608 covers higher settings, 3–10 bar. Selection should be based on p1, p2, flow rate, Kvs, DN, PN flange, medium, temperature, and sealing material.

Installation

Installation position can be any, with a preference for vertical. Dual G 1/4” gauge connection is provided for outlet pressure indication. Technical data sheet mentions PED 2014/68/EU and available classification approvals DNV GL, ABS, LR, CCS, and BV.

Certificates

CE-certification according to the European Pressure Equipment Directive is mandatory for numerous products and delivery areas. Other certificates, however, are certificates of individual quality, such as DVGW and DIN EN ISO 9001, which stands for the internal quality management system  with its extensive functional and performance checks. The particularly strict regulations of the national rules and regulations guarantee the highest possible safety - especially when it comes to the reliability in your plant.
