Berluto DRV 572 / 578 Flanged Connection Pressure Reducers

The Berluto DRV 572 and DRV 578 are direct-acting pressure reducers featuring a diaphragm, adjustment spring, single seat, and inlet pressure compensation. The downstream pressure acts on the diaphragm, adjusting the internal cartridge position without external energy or impulse line.

Technical Specifications

  • DN15–DN80.
  • Flanges according to DIN EN 1092 PN25.
  • Optional ANSI B16.5 RF Class 150 or JIS B2220 16K.
  • Optional PN16 for DN65.
  • Maximum inlet pressure p1: 25 bar.
  • DRV 572: outlet pressure 0.5–4 bar.
  • DRV 578: outlet pressure 0.5–9 bar.
  • Minimum differential pressure p1–p2: 1 bar.
  • Kvs: 2.9–18 m³/h, depending on DN.
  • Integrated filter and dual manometer connection G 1/4”.

Materials and Temperature

The body is made of red bronze CC499K. In the basic version, the spring cap is brass up to DN32 and cast iron from DN40. Wetted parts are Hostaform C/POM and brass up to DN32, while from DN40 they are brass. Seals are available in NBR up to 100°C, EPDM up to 130°C, and FPM up to 190°C. The HT version uses FPM and metallic internal parts but is not intended for steam.

Suitable Media

The series is applicable to water and neutral, non-sticky liquids. It can also be used in air or neutral gases when higher flow rates are required. For potable or seawater, special series DRV-6 or DRV-SW should be considered.

Difference Between DRV 572 and DRV 578

The DRV 572 covers a lower adjustment range, 0.5–4 bar. The DRV 578 is selected when the outlet pressure needs to be adjusted up to 9 bar. Selection is based on p1, p2, flow rate, Kvs, medium, temperature, sealing material, and flange type.

Description

DRV 572 / 578

Pressure reducing valves of the series are diaphragm-controlled, spring-loaded pressure reducing valves and have inlet pressure compensation. The cartridge design allows easy replacement of the internal parts.

Nominal size DN 15 up to DN 80

Inlet pressure up to 25 bar

Outlet pressure from 0.5 up to 9 bar

Temperature range -30°C to 190°C

Certificates

CE-certification according to the European Pressure Equipment Directive is mandatory for numerous products and delivery areas. Other certificates, however, are certificates of individual quality, such as DVGW and DIN EN ISO 9001, which stands for the internal quality management system  with its extensive functional and performance checks. The particularly strict regulations of the national rules and regulations guarantee the highest possible safety - especially when it comes to the reliability in your plant.
