Berluto DRV 502-6 Pressure Reducer for Potable Water

The Berluto DRV 502-6 is a flanged direct-acting pressure reducer designed for potable water networks. Its operation is based on a diaphragm, adjustment spring, and inlet pressure compensation. Internal components are cartridge-type, allowing replacement during maintenance without changing the body.

Technical Specifications

  • DN15–DN80.
  • Flanges according to DIN EN 1092 PN25.
  • Maximum inlet pressure p1: 16 bar.
  • Outlet pressure adjustment p2: 1.5–6 bar.
  • Minimum differential pressure p1–p2: 1 bar.
  • Operating temperature: -15 to +100°C.
  • Kvs: 2.9 to 18 m³/h, depending on DN.
  • Integrated filter.
  • Manometer connection G 1/4” for outlet pressure in DN15–DN50.

Materials and Potable Water Compatibility

The body is made of red brass CC499K. The spring cap is brass up to DN32 and cast iron from DN40. Wetted parts are Hostaform C and brass up to DN32, and brass from DN40. Diaphragms and seals are EPDM with ELL and W270 approvals for potable water.

Applications

Used in building and industrial potable water networks, distribution zones, equipment supply lines, thermal subsystems, and points requiring downstream pressure limitation before consumption.

Installation and Selection

Installation position can be any, with a preference for vertical. Selection requires p1, desired p2, peak flow, DN, Kvs, water temperature, available differential pressure, and potable water certification requirement. The technical datasheet mentions PED 2014/68/EU, DVGW, ISO 9001, and classification society options DNV GL, ABS, LR, CCS, and BV.

Certificates

CE-certification according to the European Pressure Equipment Directive is mandatory for numerous products and delivery areas. Other certificates, however, are certificates of individual quality, such as DVGW and DIN EN ISO 9001, which stands for the internal quality management system  with its extensive functional and performance checks. The particularly strict regulations of the national rules and regulations guarantee the highest possible safety - especially when it comes to the reliability in your plant.
