Berluto DRV 402-6 / DRV 403-6 Pressure Reducers for Potable Water

The Berluto DRV 402-6 and DRV 403-6 are direct-acting pressure reducers featuring diaphragm, spring, and inlet pressure compensation. Adjustment is achieved through the balance of downstream pressure and spring preload, without auxiliary energy or impulse line. Designed for potable water, materials comply with European drinking water legislation.

Technical Data

  • DN15–DN65.
  • Connection: external thread R 1/2” to R 2 1/2” per ISO 7.
  • Maximum inlet pressure p1: 16 bar.
  • Outlet pressure p2: 1.5–6 bar.
  • Minimum differential pressure p1–p2: 1 bar.
  • Operating temperature: -15 to +75°C.
  • Kvs: 2.9–17 m³/h, depending on DN.
  • Dual manometer connection G 1/4” for outlet pressure indication.

Differences Between DRV 403-6 and DRV 402-6

The DRV 403-6 covers DN15–DN32 and is available as DRV 403-6 H with installation lengths adapted to common replacement dimensions. The DRV 402-6 covers DN40–DN65. Both versions have p1 up to 16 bar and p2 1.5–6 bar.

Materials and Sealing

The body is made of red bronze CC499K. The spring cap is PA6 up to DN32 and cast iron from DN40. Wetted parts are Hostaform C and brass up to DN32, and brass from DN40. Diaphragms and seals are EPDM with ELL and W270 approvals. Metallic materials are listed in the German Federal Environment Agency's positive list.

Applications

Suitable for building and industrial potable water networks, distribution zones, equipment supply lines, thermal subsystems, and points requiring downstream pressure limitation before consumption.

Installation and Maintenance

The valve features an integrated filter and replaceable cartridge-type internal parts. Installation can be in any position, preferably vertical. Selection requires p1, desired p2, peak flow, DN, Kvs, temperature, and DVGW certification requirement, where applicable.

Description

DRV 402-6 / 403-6

Pressure reducing valves of the series are diaphragm-controlled, spring-loaded pressure reducing valves and have inlet pressure compensation. The cartridge design allows easy replacement of the internal parts.

Nominal size DN 15 up to DN 65

Inlet pressure up to 16 bar

Outlet pressure from 1.5 up to 6 bar

Temperature range -15°C to 75°C

Certificates

CE-certification according to the European Pressure Equipment Directive is mandatory for numerous products and delivery areas. Other certificates, however, are certificates of individual quality, such as DVGW and DIN EN ISO 9001, which stands for the internal quality management system  with its extensive functional and performance checks. The particularly strict regulations of the national rules and regulations guarantee the highest possible safety - especially when it comes to the reliability in your plant.
