Berluto DRV 250 Low Output Pressure Regulator

The Berluto DRV 250 is a direct-acting pressure regulator with diaphragm control, adjustment spring, and single seat. It does not feature a pressure relief function. The downstream pressure acts on the diaphragm and balances with the spring preload, adjusting the valve opening without auxiliary energy or impulse line.

Technical Data

  • DN8–DN50.
  • Internal thread G 1/4” to G 2” per ISO 228.
  • Optional NPT thread per ASME B1.20.1.
  • Maximum inlet pressure: 25 bar.
  • Outlet pressure: 0.2–2 bar.
  • Minimum differential pressure p1–p2: 1 bar.
  • Maximum reduction ratio: 20:1.
  • Operating temperature: -15 to +100°C.
  • Kvs: 0.5–7.2 m³/h, depending on DN.

Materials and Sealing

The body is made of red bronze CC499K. Wetted parts are brass, the diaphragm is CR, and seals are NBR. The spring cap is brass up to DN25 and cast iron from DN32. Temperature limits are determined by elastomers and should not exceed 100°C.

Suitable Media

The DRV 250 is intended for compressed air and neutral gases. It can also be used in water or neutral liquids when required flow rates are small and compatible with the valve's available Kvs.

Applications

Typical applications include local pressure reduction in instrument air lines, neutral gas auxiliary networks, small water flows, laboratory setups, production machinery, and consumption points requiring low outlet pressure of 0.2–2 bar.

Installation and Procurement

Installation position can be any, with a preference for vertical. Dual G 1/4” gauge connection is provided for downstream pressure indication. Selection requires p1, p2, flow rate, medium, temperature, DN, connection, and required Kvs. The technical datasheet indicates compliance with DGRL/PED 2014/68/EU and classification societies DNV GL, ABS, LR, CCS, and BV.

Datasheet and documents

Description

Pressure reducing valves of the series are diaphragm-controlled, spring-loaded pressure reducing valves. The series has a high setting accuracy and good response behavior due to their low friction of the few moving internal parts.

Nominal size DN 8 up to DN 50

Inlet pressure up to 25 bar

Outlet pressure from 0.2 up to 2 bar

Temperature range -15°C to 100°C

Certificates

CE-certification according to the European Pressure Equipment Directive is mandatory for numerous products and delivery areas. Other certificates, however, are certificates of individual quality, such as DVGW and DIN EN ISO 9001, which stands for the internal quality management system  with its extensive functional and performance checks. The particularly strict regulations of the national rules and regulations guarantee the highest possible safety - especially when it comes to the reliability in your plant.
