Pressure Reducers Red-Bronze - DRV 2-Series - DRV 230/230 G | Berluto

Berluto DRV 230 / DRV 230 G Direct Acting Pressure Reducer

The Berluto DRV 230 / DRV 230 G is a diaphragm, spring-loaded, single-seat pressure reducer without pressure relief function. Adjustment is achieved through the balance of downstream pressure and spring preload, without an external actuator or impulse line. This series is primarily intended for compressed air and neutral gases, but can also be used with water and neutral liquids at lower flow rates.

Technical Data

  • DN8–DN50.
  • Flanged connection PN40, with ANSI/JIS options.
  • Maximum inlet pressure: 25 bar.
  • DRV 230: outlet pressure 1.5–8 bar.
  • DRV 230 G: outlet pressure 0.8–8 bar.
  • Minimum differential pressure p1–p2: 1 bar.
  • Maximum reduction ratio: 10:1.
  • Operating temperature: -15 to +100°C.
  • Kvs: 0.5–7.2 m³/h, depending on DN.

Materials and Sealing

The body is made from red bronze CC499K. Wetted parts are brass, the diaphragm is CR, and seals are NBR. The spring cap is brass up to DN25 and cast iron from DN32. Elastomer temperature limit is +100°C.

Difference Between DRV 230 and DRV 230 G

The difference lies in the lower adjustment limit. The DRV 230 is used for downstream pressure from 1.5 bar, while the DRV 230 G covers adjustment from 0.8 bar. Selection is based not only on pipe DN but also on p1, p2, flow rate, Kvs, and permissible pressure drop.

Installation and Applications

Installation can be in any position, with a preference for vertical. Dual G 1/4” gauge connections are provided for outlet pressure indication. Typical applications include compressed air lines, neutral gas auxiliary networks, small water circuits, production machinery, and local pressure reduction before lower-pressure consumers.

Datasheet and documents

Description

Pressure reducing valves of the series are diaphragm-controlled, spring-loaded pressure reducing valves. The series has a high setting accuracy and good response behavior due to the low friction of the few moving internal parts.

Nominal size DN 8 up to DN 50

Inlet pressure up to 25 bar

Outlet pressure from 0.8 up to 8 bar

Temperature range -15°C to 100°C

Certificates

CE-certification according to the European Pressure Equipment Directive is mandatory for numerous products and delivery areas. Other certificates, however, are certificates of individual quality, such as DVGW and DIN EN ISO 9001, which stands for the internal quality management system  with its extensive functional and performance checks. The particularly strict regulations of the national rules and regulations guarantee the highest possible safety - especially when it comes to the reliability in your plant.
