Pressure Reducers Red-Bronze - DRV 2-Series - DRV 225/226 G | Berluto

Berluto DRV 225 / DRV 226 G High Pressure Reducing Valve

The Berluto DRV 225 / DRV 226 G is a direct-acting, spring-loaded, single-seat pressure reducing valve without pressure relief. It is used for local pressure reduction in compressed air networks, neutral gases, and, in smaller flows, water or neutral liquids.

Technical Data

  • DN8–DN50.
  • Internal thread G 1/4” to G 2” according to ISO 228.
  • Optional NPT connection according to ASME B1.20.1.
  • Maximum inlet pressure up to 60 bar.
  • Outlet pressure 1.5–45 bar.
  • Maximum reduction ratio 6:1.
  • Minimum differential pressure p1–p2: 1 bar.
  • Operating temperature -15 to +190°C, with NBR seals up to +100°C.
  • Kvs 0.5–7.2 m³/h, depending on DN.

Differences Between DRV 225 and DRV 226

DRV 225 covers DN8–DN50, with a maximum inlet pressure of 40 bar and outlet pressure of 1.5–20 bar. DRV 226 covers DN8–DN20, with a maximum inlet pressure of 60 bar and outlet pressure of 20–45 bar. Selection is based on p1, p2, flow rate, DN, and available pressure drop.

Materials and Sealing

The body is made of red bronze CC499K. Wetted parts are brass, seals are NBR, and the spring cap is brass up to DN25 and cast iron from DN32. Surface finishes available include nickel plating, chrome plating, or chemical nickel plating.

Installation and Use

Installation can be in any position, with a preference for vertical. Dual G 1/4” gauge connections are provided for outlet pressure indication. Typical applications include compressed air lines, auxiliary gas networks, test benches, production machinery, and small water circuits where mechanical high-pressure reduction is required without an external actuator.

Datasheet and documents

Description

Pressure reducing valves of the series are piston-controlled, spring-loaded pressure reducing valves. The series has a high setting accuracy and good response behavior due to their low friction of the few moving internal parts.

Nominal size DN 8 to DN 50

Inlet pressure up to 60 bar

Outlet pressure from 1.5 up to 45 bar

Temperature range -15°C to 190°C

Certificates

CE-certification according to the European Pressure Equipment Directive is mandatory for numerous products and delivery areas. Other certificates, however, are certificates of individual quality, such as DVGW and DIN EN ISO 9001, which stands for the internal quality management system  with its extensive functional and performance checks. The particularly strict regulations of the national rules and regulations guarantee the highest possible safety - especially when it comes to the reliability in your plant.
