Berluto DRV 200 / DRV 200 G Direct Acting Pressure Reducer

The Berluto DRV 200 / DRV 200 G is a diaphragm, spring-loaded, single-seat pressure reducer without pressure relief. Adjustment is mechanically achieved via the spring and outlet pressure, requiring no auxiliary energy or impulse line. Primarily designed for compressed air and neutral gases, it can also be used with water or neutral liquids for small flow rates.

Technical Data

  • DN8–DN50.
  • Internal thread G 1/4” to G 2” per ISO 228.
  • Optional NPT thread per ASME B1.20.1.
  • Maximum inlet pressure: 25 bar.
  • DRV 200: outlet pressure 1.5–8 bar.
  • DRV 200 G: outlet pressure 0.8–8 bar.
  • Minimum differential pressure p1–p2: 1 bar.
  • Maximum reduction ratio: 10:1.
  • Operating temperature: -15 to +100°C.
  • Kvs: 0.5–7.2 m³/h, depending on DN.

Materials and Sealing

The body is made of red bronze CC499K. Wetted parts are brass. The spring cap is brass up to DN25 and cast iron from DN32. The diaphragm is CR, and seals are NBR, with a temperature limit up to 100°C.

Differences Between DRV 200 and DRV 200 G

The main difference is the lower outlet pressure setting range. DRV 200 covers 1.5–8 bar, while DRV 200 G covers 0.8–8 bar. Selection depends on required downstream pressure, flow rate, and Kvs of the respective DN.

Installation and Options

Installation position can be any, with a preference for vertical placement. Dual G 1/4” gauge connections are available for outlet pressure indication. Internal and external surface treatments include nickel plating, chrome plating, or chemical nickel plating.

Typical Applications

Used in compressed air lines, neutral gases, auxiliary machine circuits, small water flows, and neutral liquids where local pressure reduction with simple mechanical adjustment is required.

Datasheet and documents

Description

Pressure reducing valves of the series are diaphragm-controlled, spring-loaded pressure reducing valves. The series has a high setting accuracy and good response behaviour due to their low friction of the few moving internal parts.

Nominal size DN 8 to DN 50

Inlet pressure up to 25 bar

Outlet pressure from 0,8 up to 8 bar

Temperature range -15°C to 100°C

Certificates

CE-certification according to the European Pressure Equipment Directive is mandatory for numerous products and delivery areas. Other certificates, however, are certificates of individual quality, such as DVGW and DIN EN ISO 9001, which stands for the internal quality management system  with its extensive functional and performance checks. The particularly strict regulations of the national rules and regulations guarantee the highest possible safety - especially when it comes to the reliability in your plant.
