The Valvosider DIN Pressure Seal Y-Type is a lift check valve with an angled (Y-pattern) body, designed for high-pressure piping systems. The Y-pattern positions the piston at an angle to the pipeline axis, reducing abrupt flow direction changes compared to straight lift check valves. Operation is automatic, actuated by differential pressure and a spring; no external actuator is required.
Full opening design with lapped disc and seat, replaceable seat, and X5CrNiMo17-12-2 spring. Body/cover available in 1.0619 or 1.4408. Seat surfaces can be hard-faced; Stellite, Monel, Hastelloy, or other trims available on request. Packing is stainless steel reinforced graphite, with soft iron or stainless steel options.
Standard connection is butt weld per DIN 3239 / EN 12627. Flanged ends, RTJ flanges, and ANSI connections available. Options: PTFE or elastomer disc, integral seat, by-pass, and drain plug.
Design: EN 12516. Face-to-face: EN 558 / EN 1298L. Rating/flanges: EN 1092. Testing: EN 12267. Marking: EN 19. Certification: EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2. Compliance: CE / PED.
Used in high-pressure steam, boiler feedwater, condensate, thermal fluids, and compatible process liquids or gases. Selection requires verification of PN, temperature, body material, trim, and minimum flow for stable piston lift.
When is Y-Type selected? For high PN check valve applications requiring angled flow and bonnet access.
Is an actuator required? No. Operation is by flow and spring force.
