The Valvosider ASME Pressure Seal is a straight-pattern lift check valve designed for high-pressure lines. It features a pressure seal bonnet, lapped disc/seat, and integral seat construction. Disc lift is actuated by differential fluid pressure, with return provided by a spring. No actuator is required; operation is fully automatic.
Available body/bonnet materials: WCB, WC1, WC6, WC9, CF8M. Disc-seat surfaces are hard-faced; trims include A105, F6A, or A182 F316. Gasket is stainless steel reinforced with graphite. Bolting: B7/B16/B8. Spring: F316. Optional overlays: Stellite, Monel, Hastelloy, or other alloys for wear/corrosion resistance.
Available in RF/BW and RTJ ends. Face-to-face per ASME B16.10, flanges per ASME B16.5, welding ends per ASME B16.25. Design references: MSS SP 144, BS 1873, ASME B16.34. Testing: API 598, EN 12266. Marking: MSS-SP 25. Compliance: CE/PED. Certification: EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2.
Used in high-pressure steam, boiler feedwater, condensate, thermal fluids, and compatible process liquids or gases. Selection of class and material should be based on pressure-temperature rating, fluid properties, corrosion, and minimum flow to ensure stable disc lift.
When is pressure seal selected? For high ASME classes where bonnet sealing must withstand elevated internal pressure.
Is an actuator required? No. Operation is automatic via flow and spring return.
