Valvosider DIN Pressure Seal – Straight Pattern Piston Lift Check Valve

The Valvosider DIN Pressure Seal is a straight-through lift check valve designed for high-pressure lines. It features a pressure seal bonnet, piston/disc lift mechanism, and return spring. Operation is automatic, driven by differential pressure across the valve; no actuator is required. The pressure seal bonnet is specified for high PN ratings, utilizing internal pressure to enhance bonnet sealing integrity.

Pressure Classes and Sizes

  • PN100: DN50–DN600, Fig. P162PC
  • PN160: DN50–DN600, Fig. P163PC
  • PN250: DN50–DN600, Fig. P164PC
  • PN320: DN50–DN400, Fig. P165PC
  • PN420: DN50–DN400, Fig. P166PC

Construction and Materials

Standard design is full opening with bolted cover, lapped disc and seat, and replaceable seat ring. Body and bonnet available in 1.0619 (carbon steel) or 1.4408 (stainless steel). Seat surfaces can be specified in Stellite, Monel, Hastelloy, or other alloys for corrosion or erosion resistance. Gasket is stainless steel reinforced graphite; alternative materials on request.

Connections and Options

Standard end connection is butt weld per DIN 3239 / EN 12627. Optional: EN flanged ends, RTJ flanges, ANSI connections. Options include PTFE or elastomer-faced disc, integral seat, bypass, and drain plug.

Standards

Design per EN 12516, face-to-face per EN 558 / EN 1298L, pressure rating and flanges per EN 1092, marking per EN 19, certification EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2, and CE / PED compliance.

Applications

Used in high-pressure steam, boiler feedwater, condensate, thermal fluids, and compatible process gases or liquids. Selection requires verification of PN, temperature, body material, trim, and available flow to ensure stable piston lift without chatter.

FAQ

When is a pressure seal bonnet selected? For high PN applications where conventional bonnet sealing is not preferred.
Is an actuator required? No. Valve operates automatically via flow and spring return.
