Fival TJF – Transparent Welded Level Gauge
The Fival TJF is a transparent type welded level gauge designed for direct mounting on vessel or boiler walls. It is specified where an external level column with isolating valves is not required, providing local visual indication directly on the equipment shell. The technical drawing refers to this unit as Transparent welded level gauge PN64, Fig. PP / PR.
Construction
Level indication is achieved via borosilicate glass type B, 34 mm width. Two configurations are shown: D = 80 mm with heights H = 75 mm or H = 117 mm. Glass variants are available for PN100 and PN120 nominal ratings, while the gauge body is rated PN64.
Materials
- Bolts: B7
- Nuts / rings: 2H or zinc-plated steel, depending on configuration
- Cover: carbon steel or stainless steel
- Upper gasket: asbestos-free
- Lower gasket: graphite
- Glass: borosilicate
- Gauge body: carbon steel or stainless steel
Selection Data
Specify the following when ordering:
- Mounting position and visible length
- Radial welded parts, if required
- Operating pressure and temperature
- Process medium
- Body and cover material
- Stainless steel bolting requirement
Applications
TJF is used on pressure vessels, boilers, condensate tanks, and auxiliary circuits where integrated level indication is required. The transparent design allows for direct observation of liquid level, foam, and contamination.
Maintenance
Inspection should focus on gasket integrity, glass condition, bolt torque, and weld quality. For thermal cycling or fluctuating loads, periodic checks for bolt relaxation and leakage are recommended.
