Fival R01 – Reflex Borosilicate Gauge Glass, Ribbed Type

The Fival R01 is a ribbed borosilicate glass spare part for Reflex-type level gauges. It is not a complete sight glass assembly; it serves as the optical element installed in the gauge chamber, enabling direct visual indication of liquid and vapor phases.

Operating Principle

The Reflex surface features prismatic grooves. In the vapor/gas zone, incident light is reflected, resulting in a bright appearance, while in the liquid zone, refraction changes and the area appears darker. This configuration allows for direct level indication without electrical signal or mechanical float.

Dimensions and Variants

R01 is available as:

• Type A: width D 30 mm, thickness S 17 mm
• Type B: width D 34 mm, thickness S 17 mm
• Lengths L from 115 to 340 mm, for sizes 11 to 19

Selection is based on the existing gauge type, glass length, seat width, gasket type, and pressure class.

Operating Conditions

Technical documentation specifies maximum pressure resistance of 200 bar and maximum temperature of 300°C. Typical applications include saturated steam, hot water, industrial liquids, and aggressive media, subject to compatibility verification per process.
