Knife Gate Valve Zubi T500 / T500Bi for High Pressure Applications

The Zubi T500 / T500Bi is a flanged knife gate valve designed for high-pressure services. The T500 model provides unidirectional sealing, while the T500Bi is used for bidirectional isolation. The body is monoblock with internal wedges and a bolted bonnet to minimize atmospheric leakage.

Fluids and Applications

The valve is intended for clean or lightly loaded fluids with solids, in lines where operating pressure exceeds typical knife gate valve limits. Typical applications include water and wastewater treatment, chemical industry, power plants, mining, pulp, biomass, and bulk handling.

Body: A216 WCB, CF8, CF8M, CF3M, 254SMO, 654SMO, 904L, Duplex SAF2205, Superduplex SAF2507, AISI316Ti.
Blade: AISI304L, AISI316L, 254SMO, Hardox, 904L, Duplex or Superduplex.
Seat: EPDM, NBR, Silicone, Viton/FKM, PTFE, RPTFE, Graphite or Flucast.
Packing: Synt+PTFE, PTFE, Graphite, Ceramic or greased cotton. Selection is based on pressure, chemical compatibility, temperature, and leakage requirements.

Actuation and Accessories

Available with handwheel, gearbox, chain wheel, pneumatic double-acting, hydraulic, or electric actuator. Pneumatic operation requires air 5–6 bar, dry, filtered, and lubricated. Optional: limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoid valves, positioner 4–20 mA, locking devices, flushing holes, stem extension, and regulation V-ports.

Maintenance

Main inspection points include packing, seat, and body/bonnet O-ring. After installation, the gland is tightened crosswise only as needed to stop leakage; excessive tightening increases operating force and reduces packing lifespan.
