Knife Gate Valve Zubi T700
The Zubi T700 is a bidirectional knife gate valve, full bore, with a monoblock body. It is primarily used for clean fluids or fluids with a small amount of suspended solids, where tight isolation is required in both flow directions. Available in wafer and lug designs.
Operating Limits and Connections
- Range: DN50–DN250, pressure 10 kg/cm² / 10 bar.
- Additional: DN300: 6 bar.
- Flanges: PN6/10/16/25/40, ANSI 125/150, BST D/E, JIS 5K/10K, AS-2129 D/E.
- Testing: UNE-EN 12266-1.
- Directives: 2006/42/EC Machinery, 2014/68/EU PED, ATEX upon application review.
Sealing Design
The T700 employs a perimeter elastic seat U-profile with internal metal reinforcement. The blade is polished on both sides to reduce seat and packing wear. Internal guides support the blade throughout its travel and act as cleaning surfaces during movement.
Materials
- Body: GG25 / GGG40
- Seat: EPDM, NBR, Viton, Natural Rubber
- Blade: AISI304L, AISI316L, 254SMO, Hardox, AISI310, 904L, Duplex, Superduplex, AISI316Ti
- Packing: Synt+PTFE, PTFE, Graphite, Ceramic, greased cotton
Applications
Typical uses: water and wastewater, power plants, chemical industry, mining, biomass, pulp, and bulk handling. For highly abrasive slurry or high solid concentration, other series like sleeve-type slurry valves are usually considered.
Actuation and Maintenance
Available with handwheel, lever, gearbox, chain wheel, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric actuators. For pneumatic operation, 5–6 bar dry, filtered, and lubricated air is recommended. The electric actuator is recommended at 45 rpm.
Installation requires parallel flanges, clean bore, and cross-tightening. The gland is adjusted only as needed to stop leakage, as over-tightening increases operating force and reduces packing life.
