Adler FZ4 Three-Way Ball Valve with Heating Jacket

The Adler FZ4 is a three-way wafer-type ball valve, full bore, with 90° rotation and integrated heating jacket. It is specified for heated process lines requiring flow diversion or selection without product cooling inside the valve. Construction is referenced as 3-way wafer full bore 90° with heating jacket.

Operational Logic

Technical documentation specifies that port 1 remains permanently open. This must be considered in P&ID development, especially for diversion or line selection, to prevent unintended cross-communication between branches.

Heating Jacket

The jacket enables circulation of a heating medium around the valve body. Used for resins, waxes, oils, asphalt, polymers, and chemicals prone to viscosity increase or crystallization at lower temperatures. Standard jacket material is carbon steel, with stainless steel optional.

Certifications & Options

Available with PED 2014/68/EU, ATEX 2014/34/EU, fire-safe BS6755/API 607, ISO 10497, ISO 15848, antistatic device, EAC, and SIL 3 capable for automated valves. Optional seats: PTFE with glass, carbon, inox, bronze, or metal core. Stem extension, pneumatic/electric actuator, manual gearbox, and positioner available.
