Genebre 2115 Ball Valve with Heating Jacket

The Genebre 2115 is a full bore ball valve, wafer type, designed for installation between DIN PN16 flanges. The body is manufactured from forged carbon steel ASTM A105, with ball, stem, and cover in AISI 304. The heating jacket is intended to maintain temperature in the valve zone, primarily for media that increase in viscosity, crystallize, or solidify at lower temperatures.

Operational Use

The 2115 series is specified for heated lines conveying oils, resins, waxes, bituminous products, fats, or chemicals that must not cool within the ball cavity. The heating jacket does not replace thermal design of the pipeline; product temperature, heating medium, insulation, and residence time must be evaluated.

Installation and Maintenance

The valve is bidirectional and can be installed in any orientation, preferably horizontal with stem upwards. Flanges must be aligned; piping loads should not be transferred to the valve body. Manufacturer recommends uniform cross-tightening and leakage testing after installation.

FAQ

Is it suitable for flow regulation?
Not as a primary function. Prolonged partially open positions may reduce seat service life.

What should be checked before selection?
DN, PN16 flanges, product temperature, compatibility with ASTM A105/AISI 304/PTFE/FKM, and heating requirement via G 3/4" connection.
