Adler FY2 Ball Valve with Heating Jacket

The Adler FY2 is a wafer-type, split-body, full-bore ball valve equipped with a heating jacket. Based on the FB2 series, it is designed for installation between flanges in pipelines carrying temperature-controlled fluids. The heating jacket is rated for a maximum operating pressure of 10 bar.

Technical Data

  • Design: wafer, split body, full bore
  • Pressure rating: PN10–PN40, ANSI 150
  • Flange compatibility: EN 1092-1 or ANSI B16.5
  • Body material: ASTM A351 CF8M / CF8 (refer to datasheet)
  • Ball: ASTM A479 304/304L or 316/316L, CF8 / CF8M
  • Seats: PTFE, optional RPTFE
  • Stem sealing: PTFE / graphite chevron rings
  • O-ring: FKM / Viton
  • Top flange: ISO 5211
  • PTFE materials certified to BAM, FDA, MOCA available on request

Operational Use

The heating jacket is applied where the process medium increases in viscosity, solidifies, or crystallizes during flow stoppage. Typical applications include resins, waxes, oils, bitumen, polymers, and chemicals requiring temperature maintenance.

Standards and Certifications

Manufactured in accordance with BS EN 12516-2, ANSI B16.34, and ISO 14313. Documentation available for PED 2014/68/EU, ATEX 2014/34/EU, fire-safe BS6755/API 607, ISO 10497, ISO 15848, antistatic design, EAC, and SIL 3 capable for automated valves.

Automation and Maintenance

The ISO 5211 mounting flange supports pneumatic (single/double acting), electric actuators, gearboxes, or positioners. For DN200, manual gearbox is recommended. Torque selection must consider DN, pressure, temperature, seat material, and cycle frequency.

FAQ

When is the FY2 selected?
When a stainless steel split-body wafer valve with heating jacket and automation capability is required.

What should be checked before specification?
DN, PN/Class, flange type, body material, PTFE/RPTFE seat, jacket pressure 10 bar, heating medium, and requirements for ATEX, fire-safe, or ISO 15848.
