Adler FY1 Spherical Ball Valve with Heating Jacket

The Adler FY1 is a full bore, wafer-type spherical ball valve equipped with a heating jacket. Based on the FB1 series, it is designed for installation between flanges in pipelines where the process medium requires thermal control within the valve body. Typical applications include resins, waxes, oils, bitumen, polymers, and chemicals prone to crystallization or viscosity increase.

Technical Data

  • Type: wafer ball valve, full bore
  • Base series: FB1
  • Pressure: PN10–PN40, ANSI 150
  • Flanges: EN 1092-1 or ANSI B16.5
  • Body: ASTM A351 CF8 or ASTM A351 CF8M
  • Ball: ASTM A479 304/304L, ASTM A479 316/316L, CF8 or CF8M
  • Seats: PTFE, optional RPTFE
  • Stem sealing: PTFE / graphite chevron rings
  • O-ring: FKM / Viton
  • Top flange: ISO 5211
  • Max heating jacket pressure: 10 bar

Heating Jacket

The jacket allows circulation of a heating medium around the valve body. Selection should consider the product’s solidification or viscosity point, pipeline insulation, residence time, and heating circuit pressure. Jacket pressure must not exceed 10 bar.

Standards and Certifications

Manufacture in accordance with BS EN 12516-2, ANSI B16.34, ISO 14313. Available with PED 2014/68/EU, ATEX 2014/34/EU, fire-safe BS6755/API 607, ISO 10497, ISO 15848, antistatic device, EAC, and SIL 3 capable for automated valves.

Options

On request: PTFE seats with glass, carbon, stainless steel, bronze, or metal core; stem extension; single or double acting pneumatic actuator; electric actuator; manual gearbox; pneumatic or electro-pneumatic positioner.

FAQ

When is FY1 selected?
When a compact, wafer-type, cast stainless valve with heating jacket and ISO 5211 automation interface is required.

What should be checked before specification?
DN, PN/Class, CF8 or CF8M body, seat material, process temperature, jacket pressure, PTFE/FKM compatibility, and any ATEX, fire-safe, or ISO 15848 requirements.
