Adler FK2 Ball Valve with Heating Jacket

The Adler FK2 is a full bore, split body ball valve equipped with a heating jacket. Based on the FE2 series, it is manufactured to ANSI B16.10 face-to-face dimensions with flanges per ANSI B16.5. This valve is specified for heated process lines where the medium must not solidify or increase in viscosity within the valve body or ball cavity.

Heating Jacket

The jacket enables circulation of a heating medium around the valve body. This is specified for resins, waxes, oils, asphalt, polymers, and chemicals prone to crystallization or viscosity increase. Selection should consider product temperature, jacket pressure, heating medium, residence time, and pipe insulation.

Standards and Certifications

Manufacture complies with BS EN 12516-2, ANSI B16.34, ISO 14313, ANSI B16.5, and ANSI B16.10 / UNI EN 558-2. Certification available for PED 2014/68/EU, ATEX 2014/34/EU, fire-safe BS6755/API 607, ISO 10497, ISO 15848, antistatic design, and SIL 3 capable for automated valves.

Automation and Options

The ISO 5211 flange allows pneumatic or electric actuators, manual gearboxes, and positioners. For DN200 and above, manual gearbox is recommended. On request: special PTFE seats with glass, carbon, stainless, bronze, or metal core, and stem extensions.

When to select FK2 vs FJ2?
Use FK2 for ANSI 150 / ANSI B16.10 lines, not for EN/UNI flanged arrangements.
