Genebre 2119 Ball Valve with Heating Jacket
The Genebre 2119 is a one-piece, full bore wafer-type ball valve designed for installation between PN16 flanges. The heating jacket allows for thermal maintenance of the process media within the valve body, minimizing risks of solidification, viscosity increase, or crystallization during flow interruptions. Suitable for process lines where temperature-sensitive fluids require controlled conditions to maintain flow properties.

Heating Jacket
The heating jacket enables circulation of a heating medium around the valve body. System design should consider pipe insulation, product solidification temperature, residence time, and heating medium flow rate for effective thermal management.
Typical media: resins, oils, waxes, bituminous products, fats, molasses, and chemicals with temperature-dependent viscosity.
Selection vs. Genebre 2115
The 2119 features a CF8M/316 stainless steel body, while the 2115 uses ASTM A105 carbon steel with stainless ball/stem. Select 2119 where product or environmental compatibility requires full stainless steel construction.

Is it suitable for flow regulation?
Not as a primary function. Partially open positions increase seat wear and must be evaluated for pressure drop and service life.
What should be checked before selection?
DN, PN16 flange compatibility, product temperature, CF8M/PTFE+GF compatibility, heating medium, installation position, and required actuator torque.
