Jacketed ball valves are specified for industrial lines where the process medium has high viscosity or a tendency to solidify. Neway designs these valves for chemical and petrochemical applications requiring thermal maintenance of the medium within the valve. Available in one-piece and full jacket configurations to minimize cooling or condensation across the valve body.
Jacketed valves are selected when product temperature directly affects flow or drainability. Typical media include resins, waxes, asphalt, heavy oils, polymers, adhesives, and chemicals prone to crystallization.
Jacketed valves do not replace thermal pipe design. Key parameters to verify:
Carbon steel is used for non-corrosive or auxiliary heated networks. Stainless steel is specified for chemical resistance or product purity. Duplex or alloy materials are considered for corrosive media, higher loads, or specific petrochemical duties.
When to select Neway over wafer-type valves?
When RF flanged execution Class 150 / PN16 up to DN200 is required and body materials beyond stainless or carbon steel are needed.
What data is required for specification?
DN/NPS, ASME Class, body material, process medium, operating temperature, heating medium, jacket pressure, actuation type, and sealing requirements.
