3-Way Ball Valve with Heating Jacket 4G Ghidini 303001C

Three-way T-port ball valve with T-port configuration, 4 seats, heating jacket, and threaded ISO 228 female/female/female connections. The 303001C variant differs from 300101C by providing an upper mounting flange ISO 5211 / DIN 3337 for actuator installation, instead of manual operation only.

Technical Data

  • Body materials: AISI 304L / 1.4307 or AISI 316L / 1.4404
  • Sizes: 1/4" to 4"
  • Bore: full bore
  • Seats: modified virgin PTFE
  • Operating temperature: -20°C to +170°C
  • Line connection: ISO 228 F/F/F
  • Actuation: ISO 5211 / DIN 3337
  • External finish: polished
  • Pressure: up to PN100 for small sizes, decreasing to PN16 at 4".

T-Port Operation

The T-pattern ball enables switching, mixing, or bypassing flow between three branches. Actual flow paths depend on ball orientation and must be verified on the P&ID, as the three-way ball can create different port communications depending on rotation angle.

Heating Jacket

The heating jacket is used for media that increase viscosity, crystallize, or solidify at lower temperatures. Typical media include syrups, fats, waxes, resins, chocolate, and temperature-sensitive chemicals. Jacket connections are 3/8" or 1/2", depending on valve size.

Sealing and Options

The 4-seat PTFE arrangement is critical in three-way service, as each port must be checked for leakage and unwanted cross-communication. On request, seats are available in PTFE glass, PTFE carbographite, PTFE inox (up to +200°C), and UHMW-PE (up to +80°C).

FAQ

When to select 303001C?
When a three-way heated valve with ISO 228 connections and actuator mounting (pneumatic or electric) is required.

Is it a control valve?
Not primarily. It is used for on/off diversion, mixing, or bypass applications.
