3-Way Ball Valve with Heating Jacket 4G Ghidini 300101C

Three-way ball valve with T-port configuration, four seats, and integrated heating jacket. Designed for mixing or diverting flow in heated process lines. All three ports feature internal threads ISO 228 F/F/F. Manual operation via stainless steel lever.

Technical Data

  • Body materials: AISI 304L / 1.4307 or AISI 316L / 1.4404
  • Sizes: 1/4" to 4"
  • Flow: full bore
  • Ball seats: modified virgin PTFE
  • Operating temperature: -20°C to +170°C
  • Finish: polished
  • Pressure rating by size: up to PN100 for small sizes, PN64 up to 1½", PN40 up to 3", PN16 at 4"
  • Jacket connections: 3/8" or 1/2", depending on valve size.

Heating Jacket and T-Port Functionality

The heating jacket is specified where process media must remain fluid within the valve, typically for fats, syrups, waxes, resins, chocolate, or chemicals prone to crystallization. The T-port ball allows for mixing, diverting, or bypass configurations, depending on lever position and piping layout.

Sealing Arrangement

The valve features four PTFE ball seats, three PTFE sleeve seals, double PTFE stem packing, and FKM stem O-ring. Four-seat design is critical in three-way valves to ensure each port is isolated and to prevent cross-communication between branches.

Seat Material Options

On request: PTFE with glass (up to +170°C), PTFE with carbographite (up to +180°C), PTFE with stainless steel (up to +200°C), UHMW polyethylene (up to +80°C). Selection depends on temperature, chemical compatibility, pressure, and actuation frequency.

Certifications

Available with antistatic design ATEX II 2G Ex h IIC T4 Gb / II 2D Ex h IIIC T135°C Db and M.O.C.A. CE 1935/2004 compliance for food contact.

FAQ

Is it suitable for flow regulation?
Not as a primary function. This is a three-way on/off, mixing, or diverting valve.

When to select over a two-way heated valve?
When flow switching between three branches or mixing of two lines with thermal maintenance in the valve body is required.
