Valvosider Pressure Seal Gate Valve per DIN

The Valvosider Pressure Seal DIN is a metal-seated gate valve designed for flow isolation in high-pressure circuits: steam, superheated steam, boiler feedwater, condensates, thermal fluids, and industrial gases. It is not intended for flow regulation; partial open positions increase erosion on seats and wedge.

Variants

  • P24: PN100, DN50–DN600
  • P25: PN160, DN50–DN600
  • P26: PN250, DN50–DN600
  • P27: PN320, DN50–DN600
  • P28: PN420, DN50–DN600
  • Face-to-face: F8
  • Standard ends: butt weld, with flanged ends optional.

Construction and Standards

Construction features include an oval body, pressure seal bonnet, OS&Y, rising stem, non-rising handwheel, and flexible wedge. The pressure seal bonnet utilizes internal pressure for bonnet sealing, suitable for higher pressures compared to a typical bolted bonnet. Standards: EN 12516, EN 558, EN 1092, EN 12627, testing EN 12266, marking EN 19, CE/PED and certificates EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2.

Materials and Sealing

Available body/bonnet materials: 1.0619, 1.5419, 1.7357, 1.7379, 1.4408. Seats and wedge surfaces are hard-faced, with options for Stellite, Monel, or Hastelloy. Stem sealing is achieved with graphite rings & wiper rings, while the gasket is stainless steel reinforced with graphite or metallic upon request.

Operation Options

Available options include ISO 5210 top flange, gear reducer, chain wheel, electric, pneumatic, or hydraulic actuator, position indicator, limit switches, locking/interlock, stem extension, lantern ring, extended stuffing box, live-loaded packing, drain plug, by-pass, parallel wedge, and PTFE soft seats. A gear reducer is recommended from DN200/PN100, DN150/PN160, DN150/PN250, DN125/PN320, and DN100/PN420.

FAQ

When to choose pressure seal?
For PN100–PN420, where bolted bonnet is not typically chosen for thermal cycles and high pressure.

Is a by-pass needed?
For large DN or high differential pressure, to balance before opening.

Flexible wedge or parallel wedge?
Flexible wedge for general isolation. Parallel wedge when application requires different behavior in thermal expansion or seat loading.
