The Fig. 96 is a forged steel gate valve with metal seats designed for flow isolation in small diameters and high-pressure applications. It functions as an on/off valve and is not suitable for throttling, as intermediate positions increase wear on seats and gate.

Fig. 96 is selected for Class 2500 / PN420 pressure range. For lower pressure requirements, Fig. 97/99 cover Class 800/1500 with corresponding material and connection logic.

Maintenance and Inspections

In case of stem leakage, controlled tightening of the gland is performed without overloading the packing. Line cleaning is required before startup, especially in socket weld installations, to prevent weld particles from scratching metal seats.
