Piston Check Valves Tassalini

Tassalini piston check valves are stainless steel non-return valves designed to prevent backflow in liquid process lines. The valve opens when upstream pressure exceeds the spring set pressure; closure occurs when pressures equalize or downstream pressure increases, seating the piston against the seat.

Construction

  • Body: AISI 304L or AISI 316L, machined from solid stainless steel.
  • Piston: AISI 316L.
  • Spring: AISI 304L.
  • Piston seal: PTFE, EPDM, silicone, or FTM.
  • Connection gasket: EPDM.
  • Surface finish: grain 120, Ra 1.01–1.14 μm max.

Operating Limits

Maximum product pressure: 10 bar. Valve operating temperature: -10 °C to +95 °C. Seal temperature limits: PTFE up to +150 °C, EPDM up to +140 °C, silicone up to +200 °C, FTM up to +220 °C. Closure test at 0.7 bar; body test at 15 bar.

Connections and Dimensions

Available in DN10–DN100 and ½"–4". End connections: butt weld, formed ends, threaded, and union. Supported standards: DIN, SMS, RJT BS, IDF ISS, and Clamp.

Applications

Suitable for food, beverage, dairy, pharmaceutical, and general clean liquid lines requiring non-return function with in-line cleanability. The large flow cross-section allows passage of small solids, provided compatibility with seat and spring materials.

Can these valves be installed horizontally?
Yes. Low-pressure springs permit both horizontal and vertical installation.

Description

Our check valves are manufactured from Aisi 304L and Aisi 316L stainless steel and are of high strength construction from a solid stainless steel block.

The valves are equipped with low-pressure springs allowing either vertical or horizontal valve operation. The wide head seal opening permits passage of solid particles.

The standard finish is 120 grit (Ra 1.01-1.14 µm max).

The maximum operating pressure is 10 bars.
