Genebre 2448 Foot Check Valve DIN PN16
The Genebre 2448 is a flanged foot check valve designed for installation at the pump suction line inlet. It integrates a check valve and inlet strainer, maintaining liquid column after pump shutdown and restricting entry of larger particulates. Flange connection conforms to DIN 2501 PN16.
Construction
- Body, disc, strainer, and handle: stainless steel 1.4408 / CF8M.
- Bolts and nuts: stainless steel AISI 316.
- Seat sealing: FKM / Viton.
- Gasket: PTFE.
- Manual drain arrangement for line evacuation.
Operating Limits
Maximum working pressure is 16 bar. Nominal temperature range: -30 °C to +180 °C. Pressure–temperature curve indicates derating at elevated temperatures; selection should not rely solely on PN16 rating when operating near upper thermal limits.
Dimensions & Hydraulic Data
Available in DN50 to DN200 (2"–8"). Minimum opening pressures are low, approx. 15–21 mbar per DN, relevant for suction lines where available NPSH and inlet losses must be controlled.

Not suitable for fluids with high solids content that may obstruct the inlet strainer.
