Spherical Bottom Tank Valve 4G Ghidini 163025

Two-way full bore ball valve designed for installation at tank bottoms. The tank side features a fixed UNI EN 1092 flange, while the outlet is a female DIN 11851 connection, allowing detachable coupling to transfer lines, CIP systems, or flexible production hoses.

Integral Seals

Model 163025 uses an integrated PTFE sealing package around the ball, sleeves, and stem. This configuration is selected where bottom zone tightness must be evaluated alongside cleanability, drainage, and minimization of product hold-up.

DIN 11851 Outlet Use

The DIN 11851 connection is suitable for installations requiring frequent line disassembly without permanent flanged joints. Typical applications include food, beverage, cosmetics, process water, and chemicals compatible with AISI 316L and PTFE.

Options and Variants

On request: M.O.C.A. CE 1935/2004 compliance, manual lever kit, and tank counterflanges. Variant 163025E includes a heating jacket for media with high viscosity or solidification risk at the tank outlet.

FAQ

Is this valve suitable for flow regulation?
Primary function is isolation or tank drainage. Not intended for continuous throttling.

When is it preferred over the ISO 228 version?
When frequent disassembly for cleaning, batch change, or inspection is required, the DIN 11851 connection is selected.
