Genebre 2416N – Disc Check Valve PN63 NPT

The Genebre 2416N is a spring-loaded disc check valve with threaded NPT ends per ASME B1.20.1. Designed for auxiliary lines of small diameter, it prevents reverse flow without the need for an actuator. Disc movement is actuated by differential pressure and spring return.

Operating Limits

Maximum working pressure is 63 bar / 913 psi; temperature range -20°C to +240°C. The pressure-temperature chart indicates reduced allowable pressure at elevated temperatures. Valve selection should be based on actual pressure–temperature conditions.

Sizes and Hydraulic Data

Available sizes: 1/4" to 2". Opening pressure is approx. 1.2–1.3 psi at 1/4", decreasing to 0.4–0.5 psi at 1½"–2". Cv values for 1/4" to 2" range from 0.21 to 36.4.

Applications

Suitable for water, air, neutral industrial fluids, process auxiliary lines, and compatible chemicals. For chlorinated, acidic, or hot media, verify compatibility with CF8M, AISI 316, PTFE, and metal seat.

Difference from 2416: 2416N uses NPT threads; 2416 is supplied with ISO/EN threads.
Soft seat option: No. Sealing is metal-to-metal; PTFE is used as a gasket only.
Low flow suitability: Check opening pressure and Cv to ensure stable disc opening and avoid flutter at low flows.
