Genebre 2416 – Disc Check Valve PN63

The Genebre 2416 is a spring-loaded disc check valve with threaded ends, designed for small to medium diameter pipelines where reverse flow prevention is required without external actuation. Operation is achieved via differential fluid pressure and a return spring; no actuator is used. Suitable for process lines where automatic, non-return function is necessary.

Construction

Body and cover: stainless steel 1.4408 / CF8M.
Disc: stainless steel 1.4408 / CF8M.
Spring: stainless steel AISI 316.
Gasket: PTFE.
Seat sealing: metal-to-metal.
Ends: threaded to ISO 7-1 / EN 10226-1.

Operating Limits

Maximum working pressure is 63 bar. Temperature range: -20°C to +240°C. Pressure-temperature diagrams indicate pressure derating at elevated temperatures; selection must be based on actual pressure/temperature pairs, not only PN rating.

Sizes & Hydraulic Data

Available in 1/4" to 4", DN8 to DN100. Opening pressure decreases with size: approx. 80–90 mbar at 1/4", 20–25 mbar at 3"–4". Kv values range from 0.18 to 110 m³/h (water), relevant for pressure drop calculations.

Applications

Suitable for water, air, neutral liquids, auxiliary process lines, thermal circuits, and compatible chemical media. For chlorinated, acidic, or high-temperature fluids, verify compatibility with CF8M, AISI 316, PTFE, and metal seat.

When is metal-to-metal seat selected? For higher temperatures or when soft seats are incompatible with the medium.
