The Genebre 2435 IDRJA is a spring-loaded, guided disc check valve designed for grooved-end (Victaulic type) piping systems. It is specified for installations requiring backflow prevention in compact piping layouts, where flanged or threaded connections are not feasible.
Maximum working pressure: 16 bar. Opening pressure: 0.03 bar. Temperature range: -20°C to +150°C (refer to technical datasheet). Media compatibility with AISI 304 and FPM must be verified, especially for chlorinated or chemically aggressive fluids.
Available sizes: 1", 1¼", 1½", 2" (PN16). Product page lists 2" variant under code 2435 09.
Not recommended for fluids causing excessive vibration, such as air, gases, or steam. Not suitable for vacuum service. These limitations are critical in systems with pulsating flow, compressors, or transient pressure conditions.
Applicable for water, chilled or hot liquid circuits, process auxiliary lines, and compact piping skids with grooved connections. In pump networks, verify flow, pressure drop, and installation orientation.
Is there an actuator? No. Operation is by differential pressure and spring force.
Is it suitable for steam? Not as a standard application; datasheet excludes steam service.
When to select Victaulic connection? When the piping is grooved and disassembly is required without flanged joints.
